Culinary Heritage
One of the culinary and food specialties of Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, made from corn is corn bose. Not only contains white corn that is pounded using a mortar, but there are also other mixed additives such as peanuts and red beans. Another culinary and food specialty of Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency made from corn is catemak corn. The mixture used in cetamak corn is green beans and wax gourd.
You can also enjoy Labuan Bajo's specialty grilled rice which is a pity to miss, namely kalo. Kalo is burned using special tools and coals. Unlike grilled rice in general, before being burned, Kalo is given a typical Labuan Baju seasoning which makes it feel even more special with a distinctive taste that is not easy to forget. With the location of the area on the coast of Flores Island, making culinary and food specialties of Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency cannot be separated from its marine products, one of its specialties is ikan kuah asam. And of course there are still many more culinary heritage or specialties from this city.
Transportation
The town is quite small and can be easily navigated on foot (within 10-15 minutes). Ojeks and bemos pass every 5 minutes if you get tired of walking or you can rent a motorbike for IDR 75 - 100K/day. Motorbikes are limited in town and there are only a few scooters available.
For access to come and go from this city there is Komodo International Airport which is international airports which is located at, Labuan Bajo City, Kabupaten Manggarai Barat, East Nusa Tenggara. The airport is located at Flores Island. Other transportation facilities include the PELNI port and Ferry Pier for water transportation by ship.
