Tourism

The 30th province in Indonesia is known as the Land of Jawara. Banten got this nickname because this region is a warehouse for warriors and champions. The distinctiveness of Banten's culture is felt in the martial arts of Pencak Silat, Debus, Rudad, Umbruk, Saman Dance (Dzikir Saman), Mask Dance, Dog-dog, Angklung Gubrag, Rampak Bedug, Walijamaliha Dance, Pandeglang Silat Dance, Palingtung, Lojor, Beluk, and others.

Banten has Ujung Kulon National Park is one of the most important national parks, and nature conservation sites in Indonesia, and the world. In addition to the beauty of the lowland tropical forest, one-horned rhino is the main attraction of this location. The national park is located on the westernmost peninsula of Java Island, along with several smaller islands such as Peucang Island, Handeuleum Island, and Panaitan Island. A distinctive feature of this national park is its role as a natural habitat for a variety of protected animals, such as the Javan rhino, deer, deer, bull, various types primates, wild boar, jungle cat, slow loris, and various types of birds

The area can be reached via Labuan or by boat to one of the islands. Ujung Kulon is equipped with telecommunications, electricity and clean water.

Tourism facilities such as lodging, information centers, tour guides, and transportation facilities are also available. UNESCO has declared the Ujung Kulon area a world heritage site.

Last but not least, Banten has various tourist spots such as Karang Mountain, Bird Island, Umang Island, Krakatau Mountain, Rawadano, Tanjung Lesung, Sawarna Tourism Village and Bedouin Tourism Village.

Here are some typical foods from Banten, namely: Angeun Lada, Rabeg, Milkfish Satay, Sambel Burog, Gerem Asem, Pecak Bandeng, Gecom, Sayur Besan, Balok Menes, Nasi Sambel Belut, Pasung Merah, Laksa Tangerang, Cibeber Duck Satay, Ketan Bintul, Rengginang, Opak, Kue Jojorong, Gipang, Leumeung, and Nasi Sumsum.

Banten Province which is located at the western tip of Java Island has a very strategic position, and has enormous economic potential on a local, regional, national, and even international scale.
